Not just the homepage — every page. The about, the pricing, the terms, the blog posts from 2023 that say something different from the homepage today.

Go looking for trouble

Court records, review sites, Reddit threads, community discussion. First-name-only testimonials. Teams with no LinkedIn presence. Revenue claims from a domain that was parked eight months ago.

Check the timeline

Internet Archive snapshots to see what the site said last year, and the year before that. Did they suddenly become "AI-native" in January? Was the company a dropshipping store six months ago?

Cross-reference every claim

Each metric, each client logo, each case study — individually verified. Lawsuits the about page doesn't mention. The sort of things you'd find yourself if you had the afternoon and a sufficiently paranoid disposition.

A report you can hand to someone

Not a badge — a proper document with evidence, sources, and a verdict. The kind of thing you'd want before signing a contract or writing a check.

Why we're building this

Overnight, half the internet became "AI-native." We got tired of it. We're an AI engineering company — we work with this stuff every day and we can tell when someone's faking it. But we also have real clients to serve, so we can't pour engineering time into this unless enough people actually want it.

Although "Softmax" represents our deep roots in AI, it's the "Data" part where we started and where we excel: collecting data, linking footprints, tracing digital breadcrumbs across the web. We have both the tools and the paranoid disposition.

Claims

Spots unsourced metrics, vague superlatives, enterprise claims from template sites, and numbers without methodology.

External Presence
